Who we are

Hamish graduated top of his year from Oxford Brookes University with a First Class Honours degree in Physiotherapy. He gained valuable experience working with Oxford United’s first team, providing insight into the demands of professional sport, before transitioning to private practice in London. During this period, he further specialised as a Hand Specialist Physiotherapist with Six Physio, driven by a keen interest in upper limb injuries—an area sparked by his own experience with a sporting shoulder dislocation.

With a diverse athletic background including rugby, swimming, water polo, rowing, water skiing, weightlifting, and CrossFit, Hamish possesses a comprehensive understanding of the unique requirements of various sports. This allows him to tailor rehabilitation programs specifically to the individual demands of each discipline. His extensive strength and conditioning expertise, developed through his work as a personal trainer, underpins his commitment to not only restore but enhance clients’ physical performance beyond their pre-injury levels.

Hamish founded HvB Physiotherapy with the vision of integrating his strength and conditioning knowledge with his musculoskeletal physiotherapy practice. Challenging the conventional model of brief, 30-minute appointments with minimal exercise guidance, he champions a thorough, classic training approach. Each session lasts one hour, ensuring clients fully grasp their exercises and understand how proper execution should feel—empowering them to confidently continue their rehabilitation independently.
